Fortunately for the owner, the vehicle was found unoccupied by the Nanaimo RCMP on Jan. 4. Oak Bay police say the investigation is still ongoing.This second vehicle, a black Range Rover Velar SUV, was stolen sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 6:50 p.m. on Jan. 4 while it was parked in the 2100-block of Cadboro Bay Road.
The crash occurred on Dec. 30 just before 9 p.m., and a witness told police that they saw the vehicle slam into a light pole before the driver got out and walked away.
