A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after colliding with a Kia Sportage in Nanaimo, BC. The crash occurred at the intersection of Terminal Avenue North and Princess Royal Avenue/St. George Street. Nanaimo RCMP says it’s seeking witnesses following the two-vehicle collision that happened around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the intersection of Terminal Avenue North and Princess Royal Avenue/St. George Street.RCMP determined that the driver of a newer grey Kia Sportage was trying to turn left onto Princess Royal when a motorcyclist on an older street-style Suzuki was going north on Terminal.
That was after “several bystanders came to his aid, including an off-duty paramedic,” reads the release, which was issued around noon Wednesday. Motorcyclist injured, two vehicles towed after late-night collision near Mayfair Shopping Centre: VicPD The male driver of the Kia was not injured, and he remained at the scene cooperating with investigators, say Mounties.Investigators are asking drivers with a dashcam who were in the area at the time, or those who witnessed what happened and have not yet spoken with police to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345., 31 casualty crashes resulting in fatality or injury occurred at this intersection between 2019 and 2023. An additional 24 resulted in property damage only.
