“Adding the Argyle Interchange project to the five-year plan will give local residents, commuters, and travelers confidence that our government is committed to investing into our community and improving highway safety.” At Nakile Drive, which is the only access to the Nakile long-term seniors care facility, as well as some homes, there is no right-hand turn lane from the highway, and the gravel shoulder is very narrow, meaning right-hand turning traffic has to slow down on the highway itself to complete the turn.
Exit 32 also leads to Drumlin Heights school. It’s a particularly busy spot in the mornings with school buses and other school traffic slowing and turning; staff of Nakile Home for Special Care making right and left-hand turns off the highway; and regular highway traffic whizzing through.
