In the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings, only three Canadian universities made it into the top 50, with McGill University placing the highest.

The top five universities in the world, according to QS, were Massachusetts Institute of Technology , University of Cambridge , Stanford University , University of Oxford , and Harvard University . This is the 11th year in a row that Massachusetts Institute of Technology has scored the top slot.A press release stated that this year’s ranking is their “biggest ever,” covering 100 destinations in total “with the U.S., U.K. and mainland China the most-represented.
