Butler also averaged 6.6 yards per carry, while his 36-yard touchdown run in the second quarter proved to the Lions’ longest play on the ground. He also caught six passes on six targets. “Mike, the whole time, was like, ‘I gotta get you five. I gotta get you five.’ And I was like, ‘I gotta get me five,'” Butler laughed after the game.
The veteran TJ Lee rounded out the CFL Top Performers of the Week awards, picking right up where he left off in 2021. He had three tackles and two interceptions, the second of which appeared to be a pick-six but was called back after a review showed him down by contact.
