A suspicious garage fire in Terrace, British Columbia, resulted in the tragic death of an adult woman. The Terrace Fire Department responded to the scene on January 27th and successfully rescued the woman, who was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. The Terrace RCMP is actively investigating the cause of the fire and urges anyone with information to come forward.

On the morning of Monday, January 27th, the Terrace Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 4500 block of Olson Avenue . The fire was contained to a garage located on the property. An adult woman was inside the garage at the time of the fire, and firefighters successfully removed her from the burning building. She was transported to the hospital by Emergency Health Services.

Despite the immediate administration of life-saving measures, the woman was tragically declared deceased at the hospital. At this time, Terrace RCMP believe the cause of the fire to be suspicious. The investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing. However, police emphasize that there is no perceived risk to the general public. The Fire Department will continue to collaborate closely with the RCMP throughout the investigation, according to a statement released on January 30th.
