SYDNEY, N.S. – A new chapter of the rivalry between Cape Breton University and St. Francis Xavier University will be wrote on Sunday in Sydney.
The women’s championship game is set for 1 p.m. while the men’s final will be played at 4 p.m., both at the Ness Timmons Field in Sydney. Sheppard scored three times to complete the hat trick, while Ze Cunha added a single marker on a penalty kick for the Capers.Cape Breton’s Daniel Clarke made four saves. Memorial’s Louis-Charles Vaillancourt stopped two of six shots.The Capers used a two-goal first half to secure their berth in the league final after beating the Axewomen in a rematch of the 2022 league final in Wolfville.Cape Breton’s Ellie Lancaster made 11 saves. Acadia’s Milena Ramirez stopped four of six shots.
