Cape Breton can make AUS history with a win on Sunday with their seventh consecutive championship title, breaking the previous record of six straight victories by the New Brunswick Reds from 1949 to 1954.Jacob Grant had the lone goal for the No. 4 seed Sea-Hawks, whose season comes to an end with the loss.
The game wouldn’t remain tied for long with Sheppard notching his second goal of the game in the 64th minute. Sheppard added an insurance goal in the 80th minute to secure the win. Cunha made the score 4-1 with a penalty kick goal eight minutes later in the 88th minute.
