A flag-raising ceremony will take place at Prince George City Hall for UN Day on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 9 a.m.
The Prince George branch of the United Nations Association in Canada is holding several events next month in celebration of UN Day.
A free roundtable event encouraging all post-secondary students to discuss various interconnected international and local issues will take place at UNBC on Friday, October 27, at 11 a.m. in Room 5-123. George Somerwill, a retired UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations official , will be the special guest for this event.
Finally, a UN Day Fundraising Evening will occur on Friday, October 27, at 7 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, where Dr. Geoff Payne, UNBC President, and Vice-Chancellor will be the keynote speaker.
