Two teenagers accused of killing a 16-year-old Halifax Citadel High School student will remain in custody for at least another two weeks.
Halifax Regional Police announced the charges Thursday afternoon, saying the accused were arrested Wednesday night in Lower Sackville. Their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The Crown often does this in serious crimes which have a maximum adult sentence of more than two years. Both accused could elect to have a jury trial in Nova Scotia Supreme Court.
