Greater Sudbury Police are reporting that Tyler Closs, wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, was captured in the city thanks to a community member who called police.
Closs was wanted for breaching his statutory release while serving a four-year, six-month sentence for two counts each of aggravated assault and assaulting peace officer with a weapon or intimidation, as well as obstructing police and simple assault. “Officers from our Emergency Response Unit and Patrol Operations quickly arrived on scene, confirmed the individual was Tyler Closs and immediately took him into custody,” the release continued.
