Faculty union says talks at an impasse as university administration says its latest contract offer represents substantial improvements in salary, benefits for term appointments, and increased compensation for teaching extra courses

The union that represents more than 800 faculty members at Memorial University of Newfoundland says a strike is almost inevitable as of Monday morning.
