Even after his death, Terry Muise’s invaluable contributions as a paramedic continue to live on. | SaltWire
"On behalf of all Nova Scotians, I extend heartfelt gratitude to each recipient for making invaluable contributions to the well-being of our province," said Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc in a media release.
At the time the funeral home was also an ambulance service. A call came in. Someone asked, “Terry, are you scared of somebody having a heart attack?”From that first ambulance experience, Muise was hooked and knew one day he would help to save lives.A parade of ambulances, RCMP cruisers and firetrucks passed by the Yarmouth home of paramedic Terry Muise on Feb. 9 to pay tribute to Muise and his 44-year career as a paramedic.
Muise, 62, had mentored countless paramedics, young and old, throughout his career, estimated to be at least 75 per cent of the paramedics in southwestern Nova Scotia. He also mentored others working elsewhere in the province. “He was just one of those guys that once you met him, you liked him. And he was always willing to teach,” Deveau said. “Anybody that had questions would go to Terry.”
