The Cougars are in Victoria this weekend for games Friday and Saturday against the Royals.
The Prince George Cougars earned a weekend split with the Tri-City Americans in their first weekend of the Western Hockey League regular season.
After thumping the Americans 9-0 on Friday, the Cougars lost 6-4 Saturday. Both games were at CN Centre. Terik Parascak, Hudson Thornton, Oren Shtrom and Viliam Kmec scored for the Cougars on Saturday while Zmec and Zac Funk both scored hat tricks, Parascak had two goals and Ondrej Becher added one more for Friday’s win.
