Saanich police announced Thursday the search for 64-year-old Christian Dube has been called off, but the family says they will continue looking.
“After an exhaustive search of PKOLS/Mt. Douglas Park by the Peninsula Emergency Measures Organization search-and-rescue team, the decision has been made to stand-down the search pending another sighting in the area,” stated Saanich Police Thursday morning. “He always spoke about the Gorge,” niece Brittany Dube told CHEK News, adding that they hope he made his way there. They will walk together as family this afternoon.
“Christian remains missing and we continue to ask the public to contact us immediately if you see him, and please don’t wait,” Saanich Police said.
