A man from Ontario has died while competing in an Ironman race in Alberta

Officials were called to Harmony Lake in Rocky View County, Alta., at 7:55 a.m. on Aug. 1 for reports of a drowning.

When emergency crews arrived, they discovered volunteers had already helped the victim, a 47-year-old Ontario man, from the water.He has not been identified, but RCMP say next of kin has been notified.Harmony Lake is located approximately a half hour west of Calgary.Harmony Lake, where the race took place, is located approximately 30 minutes west of Calgary.
