YARMOUTH, NS – The Summerside Western Capitals took a 2-1 series lead over the Yarmouth Mariners with a 4-1 win in game 3 of this Eastlink South best-of-seven semi-final series.

The teams stayed separated by one goal until 3:43 remaining in the third period when Johan MacDonald put Summerside up 3-1.With over two minutes left in the game, the Mariners pulled their goalie for the extra attacker but Summerside was able to extend their lead to 4-1 when Trentyn Crane scored on the empty net.

Attendance for Game 3 of the MHL series between Yarmouth and Summerside at the Mariners Centre was 1,404. TINA COMEAU - .
