'It's amazing that you can make something that tastes this good using fish from a can!'

Wow was this delicious! Went down very very well with my husband too. I cut back on the linguine a bit and we liked it that way with more of the sauce/sardines and less pasta. Now I want to find more sardine recipes! This looks looks like a great dish for Lent and I can't wait to try it! A nice marinara sauce might go well with this dish as well: https://ethnicspoon.com/quick-and-easy-marinara-sauce/Finally got around to making this. I used whole wheat penne and it came out great.

However, these little puppies were boned four times before we could swallow a mouthful: first by the fishmonger ; next by me with the tweezers ; again by me after removing from the frying pan ; and finally at the table where hubby and I were both still pulling bones from every bite! Ok, so I've read that sardine bones are so soft that you can just eat them but honestly I couldn't do it.

Grilled Swordfish with Lemon and Caper Sauce Recipe on Food52Grilled Swordfish with Lemon and Caper Sauce Recipe on Food52I’m so glad swordfish is back and sustainable. I’ve loved grilling it since a long-ago event at Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium where the chef simply sprinkled the fish with freshly ground white pepper and squirted fresh lime juice over. Whole Foods had harpoon-caught swordfish on special last weekend, so we had this for dinner last night. Easy-peasy!

Skillet-Roasted Chicken Thighs With Dandelion Greens & Baby Carrots Recipe on Food52Skillet-Roasted Chicken Thighs With Dandelion Greens & Baby Carrots Recipe on Food52I love a good one-dish meal because it is a busy cook’s romantic ideal: efficient, thoughtful and, when cooked properly, almost necessarily resulting in clean and simple flavors. Here, the recipe is exactly that: an honest dinner, cooked simply, from only four ingredients that took up space in the refrigerator. The combination, however, of well-seasoned roast chicken, tender baby carrots, slightly wilted dandelion greens, and a squeeze of lemon juice shouts of dinner's arrival in a clear tenor to the tune of no dishes or leftovers.

Alabama-Style Chicken Kebabs Recipe on Food52Alabama-Style Chicken Kebabs Recipe on Food52Maybe you've heard of or make 'white' barbecue sauce from Alabama -- it's tart and tangy with mayo and vinegar as its base instead of the more common tomato. I like it a lot and thought I'd put a new twist on it for some chicken kebabs. Instead of the traditional horseradish I substituted sambal oelek for a bigger kick and a little sugar for sweetness. And extra is great as a dipping sauce.

Forbidden Rice Salad With Thai Coconut-Lime Dressing Recipe on Food52Forbidden Rice Salad With Thai Coconut-Lime Dressing Recipe on Food52This vibrant, refreshing salad makes a great lunch or light dinner, but the dressing is really the star here. The bright lime and rich coconut milk pairs perfectly with briny fish sauce, spicy chile, and herbs. Warning: The dressing is addicting—it also makes a great dipping sauce for fresh spring rolls, chicken satay skewers, and lettuce cups.
