You’ll have to bear with me since l’ve lived most of my life in the States and still think in gallons and miles. In the coming year, I am going to receive $440 from the federal government to offset this tax. My car gets approximately 30 miles to the U.S. gallon. I’ve done the math and please correct me if I’m wrong. At 3.3 cents per litre I would have to drive, wait for it, 173,000 kilometres in the next year. Sounds like a no brainer for me.). I had no idea that our Island had such an impaired driving problem that they could do a full paper dedicated to it. Wow. What a powerful read it was. Although a sad topic, I commend the editor for doing this.
