For years people have visited here and returned home to tell neighbours and friends of the unique quaintness of Charlottetown and indeed of the whole province, surrounded by the sea. It will mean that, whenever profitable, residents will be jammed into basements, attics and add-ons. In front yards, collections of overflowing garbage cans will replace lawns and flower beds. Multiple vehicles will be squeezed into narrow driveways, intended for single-family dwellings, into side yards, and up and down the streets.
