The former world No. 1 officially makes his return to the PGA Tour at this week’s Farmers Insurance Open from San Diego’s iconic Torrey Pines Golf Course. Following a shock exit from LIV Golf on Dec. 23, Koepka was reinstated to the Tour by way of the new Returning Member Program in January.
Shortly after the announcement, the five-time major champion revealed he would make his much-anticipated return at the Farmers, before heading to Scottsdale for next week’s WM Phoenix Open. Koeopka will headline a star-studded 147-man field at Torrey Pines that also includes Xander Schauffele, J.J. Spaun, Justin Rose, Hideki Matsuyama, Keegan Bradley, and Ludvig Aberg. Ryder Cup participant Harris English will also tee it up at the Farmers in defence of his title from last year, while Canadians Taylor Pendrith, Mackenzie Hughes, Adam Svensson, and Sudarshan Yellamaraju will all look to rebound quickly following missed cuts at The American Express last week. In his previous four starts at the Farmers, Koepka has made the cut just once coming back in 2015, but the former world No. 1 does own a top-four finish at the 2021 U.S. Open hosted at Torrey Pines. Overall, 10 of the top 20 golfers in the world will be in the field this week in San Diego that also features 10 major championship winners. The first round of the Farmers Open Insurance gets underway on Thursday morning, with Main Feed coverage on TSN+ beginning at Noon ET / 9 a.m. PT.
