Blades said he saw a large man slumped over in a chair by the kitchen table, bleeding from his forehead. He demonstrated that the man was sitting bent over with his head almost between his legs.“There was enough blood on the floor to almost fill the floor,” Blades said.He said he did not see or hear anyone else other than Sandeson in the apartment. He said Sandeson was pacing back and forth and picking up money but not saying anything.

He said Sandeson did not mention the incident from the night before. He said Sandeson “didn’t bat an eye” that morning and was “cool, calm and relaxed.” Pookiel McCabe follows Halifax Regional Police Sgt. Blades and McCabe both neglected to disclose what they had seen when they were interviewed by police in August 2015, but they opened up when they gave additional statements to investigators in October 2016.
