District 3 includes the north side of Bridgetown and such communities as Port Lorne, Clarence, Hampton, Upper Granville and Beaconsfield.Voter turnout for the byelection was 31.6 per cent. It used both electronic and paper ballots. Twenty-seven per cent used electronic methods, which included phone or internet-based options, while four per cent voted in person.

A mandatory 10-day recount period for the byelection results will conclude Feb. 7. Councillor-elect Enslow is scheduled to be sworn in during a special meeting on Monday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. at council chambers in Annapolis Royal. The new councillor will serve the remaining two years of the term. The next municipal election will occur in October 2024.
