He has that neat as a pin, overflowing earnestness punctuated with an ambitious smile that bluntly states: “I’m going places.”Bickle became active in student government at Durham College and, in 2014, ran for Oshawa city council. A young man rising, no doubt.One person who knew him at Durham wrote on Reddit: “He seemed extroverted, like he was going to do something with his life.”And he merrily captured his triumphs before posting them on Instagram for all the world to see.
It’s a long way from March 2014 when Bickle announced he was running for Oshawa city council. At the time, he described himself as the owner of Bickle Events and Consulting.In his questionnaire for durhamregion.com, he said: “Oshawa has the potential to be one of the greatest cities in Ontario, and I want to help our city meet that potential.
