Gas prices are still on the rise in Burnaby, but the city's cheapest available went unchanged for a second consecutive week.The Super Save Gas along 6th Street is offering $1.84 per litre, as of this publication, March 15, according to GasBuddy.com's latest report — a one cent dip from last week.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, recently told Glacier Media that refineries are in their "shoulder seasons" and are undergoing maintenance."Broadly, we believe that gas prices are beginning their seasonal rise as refinery maintenance and the transition to summer gasoline come into play."
Meanwhile, Salmon Arm residents are relishing the fact that the Okanagan city — located nearly 450 km northeast of Burnaby — is home to the most affordable gas in the province.
