The mother and father of the children rushed them to a local hospital, however, police say the girl was later airlifted to a hospital in Hamilton for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car was also taken to hospital, but police say she wasn't injured. The investigation is continuing and there was no immediate word on whether any charges were pending.
