Wilson was no stranger to film-fest life when she moved to Toronto for this new chapter in her career. She'd spent the previous 15 years in Halifax, where she co-founded, Atlantic Canada's queer film festival, managed cinema operations for FIN Atlantic International Film Festival, and held many other executive positions in the arts industry on the East Coast.
