SWSE, which owns the Sudbury Wolves and Sudbury Five, highlight changes to parking areas in the vicinity of Sudbury Arena

There are a few parking changes to note downtown to accommodate the construction of Sudbury’s new event centre. In a news release, SW Sports and Entertainment, owners of the Sudbury Wolves, Sudbury Five, Sudbury Spartans and Sudbury Cyclones, issued a release to highlight these changes for their fans and anyone else visiting the Nickel City’s downtown core.

SWSE said the CP parking lot on Elgin Street has been improved to open up additional parking spaces for daily and monthly users, with more spaces to be added to the Shaughnessy East Lot in the coming weeks. Construction on the event centre will force the full perimeter of the site to be secured by Jan. 2, 2026, which will close three other downtown parking lots.Shaughnessy Street B Lot Minto Street Parking Lot “GOVA transit will be offering free bus rides for ticketed events at the Sudbury Arena,” the release also states. “Passengers can receive free transit to and from downtown from anywhere in the city by presenting their paper or electronic ticket for that day to the bus operator, starting two hours before the event and continuing until the end of the day.”
