Eight provincial and territorial champions have been crowned, completing the lineup for the 2024 Canadian women's curling championship in Thunder Bay. The winners, including Corryn Brown (B.C.), Kayla Skrlik (Alberta), Nancy Martin (Saskatchewan), Kate Cameron (Manitoba), Danielle Inglis (Ontario), Krista McCarville (Northern Ontario), Jane DiCarlo (Prince Edward Island), and Brooke Godsland (Newfoundland and Labrador), will compete for the national title and a berth at the world championship in South Korea.

The Canadian women's curling championship lineup was finalized on Sunday with the crowning of eight provincial and territorial champions. Corryn Brown (B.C.), Kayla Skrlik (Alberta), Nancy Martin (Saskatchewan), Kate Cameron (Manitoba), Danielle Inglis (Ontario), Krista McCarville (Northern Ontario), Jane DiCarlo (Prince Edward Island) and Brooke Godsland (Newfoundland and Labrador) secured their spots in Thunder Bay 's Hearts after victorious performances in their respective finals.

Rachel Homan's team, the defending champions from last year's Calgary victory, automatically qualified for the Hearts. Additionally, four-time champion Kerri Einarson, Alberta's Selena Sturmay, and Manitoba's Kaitlyn Lawes earned pre-qualification based on their impressive rankings at the end of the 2023-24 season.Other provincial and territorial representatives who have already secured their spots at the Hearts include Christina Black (Nova Scotia), Laurie St-Georges (Quebec), Kerry Galusha (Northwest Territories), Melissa Adams (New Brunswick), Bayly Scoffin (Yukon), and Julia Weagle (Nunavut). The victor in Thunder Bay will proudly represent Canada at the women's world championship, taking place in Uijeongbu, South Korea, from March 15-23. Brown claimed her second British Columbia women's title five years after her first, defeating Kayla MacMillan 10-7 in Langley. 'It feels incredible. We had a really great week all week. We showed we deserved to be here and we really brought it all together in that last game,' Brown shared with Curl BC. Cameron secured her spot in Thunder Bay with a 7-6 victory over Beth Peterson in Pilot Mound, Manitoba. Skrlik edged Nicky Kaufman 6-5 to win the Alberta title and return to the Hearts after her initial appearance in 2023 where she finished with a 4-4 record. Martin prevailed 9-7 over Jolene Campbell in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, securing her spot after losing the last two Saskatchewan finals. Godsland won decisively against Carrie Vautour 10-4 in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The Hearts winner automatically qualifies for November's Olympic curling trials in Halifax if their team ranks within the top six at the world championship. Homan and Einarson already have trials berths secured. Should either team win in Thunder Bay, the trials berth will go to the highest-ranked team in the 2024-25 national women's team rankings at the conclusion of the Players' Championship in April
