The field for the 2025 Scotties Tournament of Hearts is set, with eight provincial champions earning their spots in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Corryn Brown, Kayla Skrlik, Nancy Martin, Kate Cameron, Danielle Inglis, Krista McCarville, Jane DiCarlo, and Brooke Godsland claimed victory in their respective provincial championships to join defending champion Rachel Homan and pre-qualified teams. The winner of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts will represent Canada at the women's world championship in South Korea.

The Canadian women's curling championship lineup was finalized on Sunday with the crowning of eight provincial champions. A total of 18 teams will compete in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts from February 14th to 23rd in Thunder Bay , Ontario.

Corryn Brown (British Columbia), Kayla Skrlik (Alberta), Nancy Martin (Saskatchewan), Kate Cameron (Manitoba), Danielle Inglis (Ontario), Krista McCarville (Northern Ontario), Jane DiCarlo (Prince Edward Island), and Brooke Godsland (Newfoundland and Labrador) won their respective provincial finals on Sunday to secure their spots in the tournament. Reigning champion Rachel Homan's team had already qualified after their victory last year in Calgary. Four-time champion Kerri Einarson, Alberta's Selena Sturmay, and Manitoba's Kaitlyn Lawes also pre-qualified based on their high rankings at the end of the 2023-2024 season. Other provincial and territorial representatives who already qualified include Christina Black (Nova Scotia), Laurie St-Georges (Quebec), Kerry Galusha (Northwest Territories), Melissa Adams (New Brunswick), Bayly Scoffin (Yukon), and Julia Weagle (Nunavut). The winner of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts will represent Canada at the women's world championship in Uijeongbu, South Korea from March 15th to 23rd. Corryn Brown secured her second British Columbia women's title five years after her first, defeating Kayla MacMillan 10-7 in Langley. 'It feels incredible. We had a really great week all week. We showed we deserved to be here and we really brought it all together in that last game,' Brown said to Curl BC. Krista McCarville's bid to represent Northern Ontario in her hometown of Thunder Bay was a nail-biting battle. Trailing Emma Artichuk 5-2 after five ends, McCarville rallied with a single in the sixth and stole points in the seventh and eighth ends. In a tense finish, she drew the four-foot rings in the 10th end for the victory and her 12th trip to the Hearts. Kate Cameron edged Beth Peterson's shot stone for a 7-6 win in Pilot Mound, Manitoba. Cameron, who led her team to last year's Hearts semifinal in Calgary, where they were defeated by Jennifer Jones, will be looking to make another run this year. Kayla Skrlik claimed victory over Nicky Kaufman 6-5 to win Alberta and return to the Hearts after a 4-4 showing in her first appearance in 2023. Nancy Martin won her first Saskatchewan final in three years, defeating Jolene Campbell 9-7 in Kindersley. Danielle Inglis won her second consecutive Ontario championship, defeating Chelsea Brandwood 8-4 in Coburg. Brooke Godsland emerged victorious over Carrie Vautour 10-4 in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Jane DiCarlo stole two points in the 10th end for an 8-7 victory over Hillary Selkirk in Prince Edward Island. The winner of the Hearts also qualifies for the November Olympic curling trials in Halifax if that team ranks in the top six at the world championship. Homan and Einarson already have trials berths locked down. If either team wins in Thunder Bay, the trials berth goes to the team ranked next-highest in the 2024-2025 national women's team rankings at the conclusion of the Players' Championship in April.
