Friday night with a three - one win.The Islanders were first on the scoreboard when Michael Horth, assisted by Giovanni Morneau and Keiran Gallant, scored three minutes into the second period.
At 5:31 into the second, the Eagles tied things up when Zachary Gravel scored on a power play assisted by Jeremy Langlois and Thomas Desruisseaux. Gravel assisted the next goal by Luke Patterson about six minutes into the third and he landed the Eagle's third goal into an empty net with seven seconds left on the clock.
The Cape Breton Eagles play their last preseason game in Halifax on September 16. It will be the last preseason game.
