RCMP expects more arrests following attack that put two newcomers to Canada in hospital
Two men have been arrested in connection with an assault that occurred in Abram-VIllage on Sept. 3 after a dance at the Acadian Festival. - Kristin GardinerABRAM-VILLAGE, P.E.I. — Two arrests have been made following aTwo men were arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 7 and have since been released.The attack, which occurred in the Évangéline parking lot following a dance in the community, put two men, 28 and 39, in the hospital. They have since been released.
In a written statement on Sept. 4, La Coopérative d'intégration francophone confirmed that the two victims were a CIF employee and client.A press release from the RCMP on Sept. 6 confirmed that five people were involved in the incident.The police are still asking for witnesses who may have seen the event or have any video to come forward with information.
