Gwen Litchfield was one of five HUB Cycling volunteers honoured by the organization for their contributions of the past year.
A Burnaby woman has been honoured for her volunteerism this past year, pedalling the region on the path to safer cycling for all.
She was one of five individuals to receive the recognition, all of whom, and others, were acknowledged during an awards ceremony on Tuesday, March 12, at the The Cinematheque in Vancouver. "Each year, HUB Cycling delivers cycling education to thousands of people in Metro Vancouver through our Bike to School, StreetWise, Ride Your Path and Workplace Cycling Workshop programs," the advocacy group's website reads.
The HUB Cycling awards have been shining a light on the people and projects that make cycling around Metro Vancouver safer and more enjoyable for 11 years.
