This freaking sucks, and I do understand why it’s extremely stressful for parents to sort these things out, and to try to figure out what to do when their kid gets their millionth cold. First, I think we need to clarify some things. I do believe there is a difference between one kind of sick and another.
However, I think we all have no choice but to follow the basic protocols that most schools lay out when it comes to illness. For example, these are the protocols my kids’ schools follows:– Don’t send them when they are having a raging cold or hacking cough.– Wait until they’ve been fever-free for 24 hours before sending them back.Here’s the thing to keep in mind as well.
