Though the festival doesn’t run until November, organizers are giving attendees the summer to catch up on all the books they need to read
To give attendees a head-start on all the books they need to read in advance , the Wordstock Sudbury Literary Festival held its launch press conference this week, four months ahead of the Nov. 1-3 event.
Regional authors taking part in the annual English-language literary festival will be Kim Fahner, Melanie Marttila and Danielle Daniel. The other reason behind the June 27 launch is to get young people writing in advance of the festival’s annual Youthwords Writing Contest, said Campbell. This year, Wordstock is shifting its location from its usual venue at the Holiday Inn to Place des Arts downtown.“What better venue to hold a premier arts event than at the beautiful space of Place des Arts?” said Campbell.
