A representative of Butler did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Montreal Gazette on Saturday. “Lily”, who was a 21-year-old art student in 2015 when the then-34-year-old Butler allegedly made unwanted advances including showing up at Lily’s Montreal apartment despite being asked not to, where he allegedly grabbed her aggressively and kissed her. Butler disputed many of Lily’s recounting of events and said Lily consented to all their contact.
