On June 26, 2016, Arlene Susan Westervelt, 56, died while canoeing and picnicking on Okanagan Lake near Lake Country, B.C.
An Okanagan man has been charged with his wife’s murder after police ruled her 2016 death was not an accidental drowning but instead an alleged homicide.
Investigation that has unfolded since the death has now led police to believe the death was a homicide.
