Charlottetown police arrested and charged a 40-year-old woman with impaired driving following a three-vehicle crash in the city on Saturday. - File PhotoCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A Charlottetown woman was arrested and charged with impaired driving following a three-vehicle crash in the city on Saturday.
Just before 6:30 p.m., a patrolling Charlottetown police officer witnessed the crash at the intersection of University and Allen Streets.While speaking with one of the drivers, the officer suspected that she was impaired by alcohol.Police said she also provided breath samples that were more than twice the legal alcohol limit.
The woman was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
