The 62-year-old Westlake resident stepped from her car without putting it into park. Officers found an empty bottle of vodka, and the woman appeared intoxicated. She had anti-anxiety pills. She was field tested and arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. An officer soon found the car and attempted to stop it as it pulled onto Devonshire Oval. The driver did not yield to the lights and siren but continued onto Essex Court, where the car pulled into a residential driveway. The 24-year-old female driver said that she knew she had an outstanding warrant. The woman had six open driving suspensions due to past driving violations and not having car insurance, according to a police department statement..
