One person was seriously injured in a shooting after a confrontation at the Red River Cultural District downtown early Monday morning.
Witnesses say the shooting happened at the corner of East Seventh and Red River Street, and ATCEMS says the arrived around 1:20 a.m. Matt the W is a local comedian who often performs downtown at the Red River Cultural District . He says he was on the corner of East Seventh and Red River with some other comics when trouble began brewing.
"I've heard some stuff about America that this type of stuff can happen, but I never expected it to happen while I was here." Brand said. "I've just seen someone, like, getting in a car and driving up, but they on their way into the car, they went two more times, pop pop, and I was like, Oh my god." Brand said.
