A new wildfire is burning near Port Angeles that is visible from Victoria, quickly grew to 50 acres on Saturday.
Thomas Kyle-Milward, with the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, says the fire, named the Sutherland fire, ignited around 1 p.m.Initially, Kyle-Milward said the fire was about five acres , but says growth was driven by the powerful westerly winds and it is now 50 acres .RELATED:CHEK Newsletter
