She announced her bid after former health secretaries Jeremy Hunt and Sajid Javid
Penny Mordaunt has thrown her name into the Conservative leadership contest after Boris Johnson announced he was quitting as Prime Minister.
Javid also said the UK should consider ripping up old EU laws "to make us a more pro-business, wealth-creating, entrepreneurial economy". Mordaunt said £7,000 would go to the renovation of her local lido while the rest went to Armed Forces charities.
