They have spoken with their feet once already, staging an in-game walkout protest during the team’s last home game, showing “disgust” over the club’s handling of a mounting avalanche of abuse allegations.

“It’s personally really … irritating. Whenever I think about it, I start having this anger build up,” said Sabourin-Hertzog. “And if they’re complicit in minimizing that kind of behaviour, or not taking the potential effects of that seriously, how can you trust them with the careers of young athletes who might be in their residency ?”

After meeting with Ciara McCormack and Eden Hingwing, two voices from the teams who have been prominent in bringing the allegations to light, the Southsiders decided to stage the walkout.
