Recently a new sign went up on a gate that blocks the lane running along the White Rock canal. It’s been a hugely popular dog walking path over the years.
She added that, “The canal area near our power station is indeed beautiful, but it is not suitable for activities like dog walking or swimming due to potential risks and certain safety concerns like underwater hazards, rapidly changing water levels, swift currents and undertows, around the dams. This can be especially dangerous in the spring due to high inflows from spring rains and snowmelt.”

They indicated ‘Entering dykelands, all roads private’ and showed an image of a human and a dog getting hit by a tractor.erected them as part of an awareness campaign. There was a dual message behind the effort: to advise the public about the fragility of the dykewalls and dykeland roads, as well as safety issues.
