Reports of a woman screaming for help eventually resulted in the seizure by Terrace RCMP of a large number of firearms from a Thornhill residence July 31.

Police say they responded to the call for help on Dobbie St. upon reports a woman was shouting that a man had a gun and was threatening to shoot people in a residence.

"Police entered the house to ensure the occupants of the residence were safe as the initial report had been of a man threatening to shoot them. Once inside the house, additional weapons and drug paraphernalia were observed," a police statement continued.
