The Ojibways of Batchewana First Nation are a progressive and vibrant Indigenous community situated on the north-eastern shore of Lake Superior adjacent to the City of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. The First Nation Is comprised of four land bases: Rankin, Goulais Bay, Obadjiwon, and Whitefish Island.
• Operate and monitor computerized control systems and related equipment in water filtration and treatment systems to regulate the treatment and distribution of water. • Read flow meters, gauges and other recoding instruments to measure water output and consumption levels • Provide verbal or written instructions for process control changes to waterworks systems to ensure water produced meets standardized quality requirements• Respond to public inquiries regarding water quality issues and emergencies• Perform minor maintenance or assist skilled tradespersons with installation and repair of system machinery and equipment• Ensure that all floors and surfaces are kept free from spills, debris or dirt by performing regular janitorial...
