Many no longer worry about navigating an office, or the dreaded lunch interview with its concerns about saying or doing the wrong thing. There’s a new comfort factor at play. Plus, distances are being bridged. “Teams are being brought together from all parts of the country, and the globe,” says Toth, adding that when teams see each other and share ideas online, they feel more connected and in tune with each other.
Virtual events are also drawing more people from around the world, and leading to more robust conversations. Toth says people are less inhibited and feel more free to ask questions. “A lot more interaction happens at virtual events,” he says.
