A new report shows that in 2023 nearly 5 million visitors to Greater Victoria spent more than $1.9 billion in the region.The report shows a nearly 1-million increase in the number of visitors, just in the past five years.

Overnight visitors to Greater Victoria have the largest impact, spending an average of $610 per visit, compared to same-day visitors who spend an average of $90 and cruise who spend an average of $110. “The impressive growth in GDP, job support, and overall economic contributions underscores its importance. The visitor economy not only supports businesses and creates jobs, but also enriches our community and enhances the quality of life for all residents.”
