Victoria Police say a man has been arrested for allegedly shooting a pellet gun at people in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue last week.

Surveillance video shows a man shooting several pellets at people on the block around 10:15 p.m. on Oct. 2, according to VicPD.

The man is then seen leaving the area before police arrive. Investigators say they were able to identify a suspect by reviewing CCTV video of the neighbourhood, and the man was later arrested. No charges have been recommended yet, but police say they are still working to “process and analyze evidence” with the intention of recommending charges to Crown counsel.Police are now asking any witnesses or victims of the pellet gun shooting to come forward, since no victims have been identified yet. VicPD released a portion of the CCTV video in hopes of encouraging people to contact them.

“We urge anyone who witnessed this event or has information to come forward,” she said. “Witness or victim information will aid our work in holding those responsible for these behaviours accountable.” Anyone with information is asked to contact the E-Comm Report Desk at 250-995-7654 or submit tips anonymously to Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477Adam Chan is a Digital News Editor who joined CHEK News in 2023.
