In fact, the last time there was a significant snowfall on the South Island was back in January 2024, making this weekend’s blanket of snow a rare and stunning sight. From the snowy shores of Kennedy Lake to the frosty trees of Sproat Lake and Prospect Lake , Vancouver Island ers have been capturing the beauty of the long-awaited winter weather.
